In need of serious help!!

Ok when I install my Halo for the PC it works all fine and dandy even on single, but when I goto multiplayer it says I need the update so I get it, it installs all fine but when the game starts it says Cannot Locate Halo Cd. Now wtf is this crap I tried re-installing and everything and I tried searching for help but nothing someone please help!!
