How do i get maps to work on CE?
im new here but i want to know how to download a map (say castel2castel) and be able to use in in custom edition...? can any1 help me? and some of you may know me from pbnation.com as akward silence...well im the same person.. thanx

lmao where did u get that? or did u make it urself? well whatever it is thats one of teh ffunniest pics ive evr seen. to dl maps u gota dl winRAR here: www.rarlabs.com
then when u dl a map save it to ur haloCE maps folder.
open winRAR adn highlight the winRAR archive [ ie castel2castel] and then cilck the button that says extract to... and then at the target box delete teh thing that says castel2castel so its not saved to its individual folder and is just saved directly to ur maps folder as a .map file. it should look like .../maps/ if it looks like this then yay!
if it looks like .../maps/castel2castel them delete teh part in red.
if it does save in a folder just un-maximize the thing so it only takes up like a portion of ur screen and just drag and drop to ur desktop, then pres the go up one level buton and drag the stuff off the desktop to the maps folder.
i hope this is a good enough tut but seriously SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND!!

Filzip
You can also use a program called filzip ( do a goggle search ) it's a RAR file extraction tool also ( does'nt have the pretty pictures that winrar has ) and it's free forever. Even has some options win rar does'nt.You place the files in the same folder .

Sorry my bad 1 last post when Halo World comes back on line 10-7 anybody can become a member . The forums there are much better , the people are a whole lot nicer , the web site is cleaner , it's just a whole lot better.
