Anyone else has this problem with Night Vision

Since the first day I bought Halo for the PC my night vision has been this way. Well it's was'nt til my uncle bought halo for his son that I noticed mine was diffrent from his. Mine when you turn on NV it covers the whole screen on my uncle's is just does the sniper box(see pic below). Well after noticing this I was talking to my Girlfriends brother and his is the same way as my uncle's, so I was wondering if anyone has the same thing or maybe a setting is just messed up I need to change. Just let me know thanks.

Mine covers the whole screen also. I think the XBOX version was only the box.

yeah it only covers the box in the XBOX version.
but whats so bad about having night vision for the whole screen?

no I'am not getting picky. Aucally I perfer this way to just the box. It's just I wanted to know why my PC night vision is diffrent from my uncles PC night vision which only covers the box and not the whole screen like mine.
