textures are blurry

hi, I have a problem with my textures.
I'm making a map of the downtown of Cote D'Azur, and made a groundmap with 6 streets, the road line configuration being similar to New Mombasa. When I put it into my ground box in Max6, the texture shows up all blurry with much of the detail gone. Some lines don't even appear. I turn on UVW, but this does nothing. I've tinkered, but so far I only move the map left, right, and up/down. Does UVW have any other applications? Also in the texture window, I've turned bluriness down to 0.1. Does anyone know how to make the texture crystal clear? thanks!

make sure the settings in the UVW map are a square so you don't get streaks( you probably knew that ).

It might be just that you strecthed the bitmap to much. If you made it 512 x 512 to stretch over a whole city, then try 1024 x 1024 instead.

But first try taking a render to see if it looks better. Just look at it and prets CTRL + Q.
