Not really. It's just better if you take [img] brackets out so it's just a link to the image so it doesn't stretch the page unnecessarily.

It isn't a new helmet. It's the new SPI armor as seen in the 4th Halo book Ghost's of Onyx.

No its not, it doesn't have the same contours as the SPI helmet, and teh SPI armor had no shields and wasent built like mjolnir armor, so hence it is not close to the same thing.

The SPI armor in Halo 3 isn't to the book specific. They change a bit as they seemed fit and either way, it still looks good.

Any one wonder why the new permutations only seem to add things to the top half of the spartans?

Do you want new boots or something?...
When you're firing at someone, you're generally looking at their upper body, head/chest etc. When you melee, you use your arms. When you try for a headshot, you aim for their head. When you are firing at their body, you're shooting at their chest.

I do not recall a single instance where I purposefully focussed on my oppositions legs/feet in a competitive scenario with any intention to win.

But to answer your original question; Yes.
I thought about it, then I realized, "No, I'm stupid for thinking about this".
Zune1337 wrote:I can't wait for halo 3. I hope you can be the Halo 1 and 2 also.
That would place you at a technological disadvantage with any slight bit of thought on the subject...
These are purely aesthetic with no game-play advantages officially announced yet, despite different animations corresponding to their titles being displayed in recent public releases of images.

Yeah, they've said just visual changes in that latest bungie post, also confirming that they are unlockable.

Veegie, halo 3 has the lower body on screen when you look down :D Who doesn't want to look at shiny new boots! Only to be killed...But still BOOTS!

In real life shooting one's knee cap's give you a major advantage and please dont bring up the subject about this being a game you didnt specify in real life or in a game.

In the Halo 3 Pictures Thread on a Halo modding forum, I think it's safe to say he was talking about the video game, Halo. Not real life.

Stop instigating.

Well Ok I realise that most of the time while in game you are firing at the top half of people but come on shiny new boots. And if you wanna know a time when people shoot at the lower half of some one, you ever played a rockets game on a small map?
