Thats how things are where I live around winter time.. Only it's not because of wildfires, its because of air pollution from cars and such.

My rant:

The sunburns on my face are bugging the living hell out of me. They don't hurt or anything, they are just like.. hard. And I get a really gross feeling when I make any facial expression at all, or even open my mouth just a tiny bit. It's so dry and gross...

Someone keeps restarting my desktop - which has the Pandemic server and an AMPP server running on it, none of which start at boot.

.... my computer wont save some settings. I can get them temporarly but once you turn the computer back on they revert back. It pisses me off cause i cant change my homepage or permanatly turn off touchscreen. And speaking of touchscreen i hate how its sensative enough to be activated by a fly.

I have a similar problem like that. The stupid language tool bar always loads up on my taskbar whenever I start my computer, even when I disable it. Can't seem to fix that one, but luckily I'm not bothered by it as much.

Anyways, my rant: something, like a small shard of glass I think, managed to get in my heel, and the wound has completely healed over. So basically, it hurts to walk on my left foot. :?

I'm basically lucky to be alive right now...doctor said I was only saved by the fact that my neck is so muscular and stopped itself from breaking.

So here I am, sitting at a red light. There's a guy in front of me, nobody behind me. I drive (drove) a silver Mazda Protege. Some woman in a rather large GMC Yukon came from behind and hit me going 50mph. My head whipped forward, chest hit the steering wheel, hands hit the windshield wiper and turn signal controls, then my body was thrown backwards...given my large frame, I actually broke the seat off of the track it's on that allows it to readjust the position. I found out that the second impact was from me hitting the guy in front. Yes, that's right, she never put her brakes on during this whole incident, she went from 50mph to hitting a stopped car and kept going, only to be stopped by my brakes and the brakes of the car in front of me.

So I got out of the car to survey damage, and an off-duty cop just happened to be driving by...he saw the whole thing. So luckily, there was no way she could lie her way out of it (granted, she seemed to be a pretty nice lady, and you could tell exactly what happened). The back doors couldn't open, the rear end was completely smashed in, there was transmission fluid leaking (I had to drive the car to a shoulder after a little bit, and I had to use a lot of force to turn the damn wheel), the front end was pretty fucked...the hood wasn't down all the way and the grill was broken to pieces. Basically, my car was totaled, I'll see if I can get pictures I took with my camera phone...even though they won't be the best quality.

As for my health, I have some scrapes and bruises all along my left arm, both hands, shins, and knees. This was also the first day of my college classes, so I had to walk about 20 minutes in the lovely Georgia heat (100+ degrees when it's very humid in a polo and undershirt sucks). I was about 25-30 minutes late to class, sweating my ass off, and basically looked like shit.

tl;dr version: Lady crashes into my stopped car, car's totaled on my first day of college. Walked to class, looked like shit.

Wow, tough luck. Now you can write a book called "Working Out Saved My Life."

[jk]But dammit, next time put the short version first. It would have saved me a lot of reading.[/jk]

What she said to the cop was that she "looked up and traffic was moving" then she "looked down" and next thing you know, she had hit me. There was a cell phone in her hand when she got out of the car. Either she was going to call 911 and just wanted to make sure I was ok, or she was on her cell phone.

Yeah if it wasn't for the fact that when I get a car I know I'll be on a cell phone I would really like that to be a law once more.

You can kinda see the passenger side seat's head part, but you'll notice how the driver side is horizontal at that point/not visible. I didn't take any pictures of the front, because it wasn't as bad as the back. If you want a reference image for how much the back was crushed, go Google image it or something. Also note two other things...the force did indeed knock the sun blocker/mirror thing down on the driver's side, and the bolts that held the spoiler in are vertical (as opposed to them being on the back of the car, which is completely flat), the glass of the tail lights is gone, and the rear bumper/spoiler are hanging on by threads.

That's why you make it illegal to use cell phones whilst driving, but I'm sure America has a very good reason to allow it, one that's more important than saving lives.

Sucks about your car GT, hopefully she had insurance... (again, why isn't it mandatory over there?!) and it's good to hear you're O.K. hopefully this will teach her to pay more attention when driving.
