okay, i see wat u mean now. i also scaled the mig, so now it is a bit larger than a banshee, and i added markers in 3ds max. now all i need help with is converting the mig from a .max file to a .jms file so i can make it a .gbxmodel so i can start making a tag. then i can manage with the rest. and i will need help with the animations.

It would be cool to make a harbor map, with aircraft carriers as part of the bsp and maybe an island in the middle with teleporters to/from the ships. Anyways, the jets look sweet. I look forward to playin g these ingame. Will you be making lod models for lower-end users? I'd hate to see such great new vehicles go unused because of lag.

i need some people to team up with me, or else this map will never be a reality. i need taggers, animations experts, and people to help me build the map. i can do the basic part of the map, but i need people to make the terrain. also, i can get aircraft carrier models from my friend. he is making models for this map, and i am detailing them, and making basic structures for him to build on. if we get the help we need to make the map, this map could be the most played map on halo ce.

actually, i was going to ask if i could use the biped from lockout paintball, or L33t's ODST biped. i want it to have a bit of topgun and a bit of halo. mostly halo . there will be topgun music though. if i cant get those bipeds, you can make tom cruise skins. i also need my planes skinned, and i need someone to put markers and nodes on the planes and make tags for them. i can make the map. i alos found out something very interesting. the mig in the movie, the mig-28, never really existed. they were a prototype based off of the american f-5e/f tiger. so i am not going to use this mig, unless you think that it is better than the mig-28 i asked my friend to make. it looks a lot more agile too. ill post some pics of the new one when it is done. it may be a few days, but i can post pictures of wat it should look like. Here is the mig from top gun:

oh ok. the tom cruise skin hasnt been made yet. but i can send you the .obj of the tomcat. the f5 isnt ready yet. here it is. and yes, replace it with the banshee. you will need to scale it. it is really big right now so we could work on it.

preferably in infinity, since that is the map i plan to make the mod for. so just import it into infinty, fly it around, and take some pics so i can see how it looks.Jsk1610 wrote:Thanks I'll work on it today hopefully. ugh. 3 words man: laggy as hell. No, I didn't get it ingame yet. I finished scaling and I've been waiting about ten minutes for this thing to triangulate and I might have to redo those 20 minutes of scaling! Everything takes forever. I'll get it in tonight though k? Also, I was planning on doing it in death island but I'll change plans..
EDIT: When I finished typing it was done triangulating yay! I'll get it in right now.
EDIT AGAIN(BOO!): Okay, halo crashed. I think it's because of this.

Omg! That's a big inds #. It was originally about 2000 verts and about maybe 1500 inds. Now look at it. This is definitely the problem. Sorry =/. It's a sweet model though.

its probably too high poly. that really sux. ill see if my friend can cut down on the amount of polygons. in the meantime, i am making a F-4 model all on my own. it looks pretty nice. ill post it when it is done. and the F-5 i was gonna use has 200,000 polygons. my friend doesnt know that you can only have 10,000 polygons max. i should tell him.
