Just wondering did this start all because of what iGeo said about too many flags in America? I think I also recall IF saying that one of his friends came to visit Canada and said the same thing?

Cool emblems though.

I'm just waiting to see what Fox does now, since there is a Canadian emblem, even though he lives in US.

They were mentioned a long time ago, in the pre-merge staff briefing, if I recall correctly.

I_F had actually mentioned this idea before the Great Merge, but never felt like making 245 flags I suppose. So one day (monday) I decided to go on an emblem spree, and offered my services to help him.

This kinda takes away the whole point of the emblems system. They're supposed to be something that's earned or deserved.

I like the idea of having a flag somewhere near my name, but surely it would be far better suited to appear in the location field...

Also, SHOUT the U.S. emblem looks horrible. =/ I like the others that I've seen, but I'm not a huge fan of the U.S. one there's just something about it.

Oh and finally, I think you should ask us English if we'd rather have the Union Jack (The flag of the United Kingdom/Great Britain) or the flag for England. I'm not too fussed, but too some people they'd rather display the English flag... I suppose it would be like an American having the Canadian one, to an extent.

Although I congratulate you shout on spending your time on these, I agree with iGeo. This, along with the all you have to do is vote in the serenity repository emblem, and *all you have to do is post a mod in the serenity repository emblem, should be removed completely in my opinion.

There's just no point to them. Why are we recognising people for doing these simplistic things? An emblem used to stand for something, these don't stand for shit. So unless I'm missing something here, or this is all part of some sort of major plan to take over the world..remove them, and put up a few others that actually take effort to obtain...

*I wouldn't have a problem with this one, but as posting other peoples mods counts towards it too...It just defeats the point really.

Well, not all of them were meant to be easy, and you aren't supposed to know for a fact the reason you have all of yours (though some are obvious). Still, I see your points. Though it's not like HM is being flooded with new "Easy" emblems. This idea is an old one (a), just never implemented. There are many emblems to be gained, and 95% of them are rather difficult to earn. For some reason the emblem idea in all has been skewed badly. For some reason it's no longer about what emblem you have, it's about how many, and I think that's what making you think that there are too many easy emblems. You see your post with all these fantastic hard to earn emblems, and another guy with 1 more emblem, but most were simple to get, and for some reason you get jealous. I'm not talking to anyone in specific here, just speaking my thoughts on the matter.

Oh and iGeo, unless you live in Canada, Australia, or the US, no one cares. ;)

I stand by my comment, if possible they should be moved to the location field.

It's not easy fitting 50 stars and 13 stripes on a 35 pixel by 16 pixel image... Oh and it's iGeo not IGeo. :P

I don't like that they are in varied places. It should just be the first emblem, so they're all in the same place, for everyone. =x

Also, Prey and iGeo, I think it's up to the creator to decide what emblems are meant for, not your own interpretations. Clearly said person doesn't feel the same way about every single emblem having to be ridiculously difficult to earn, and that it's not alright for people to just have one.
