Having trouble with patching I guess?

Hey, Im new at this, but believe me I have been working all day to try and make it work before posting, Ive read every tutorial, and still cannot get it to work. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

1. I go into Halo and start a deathmatch in Bloodgultch.

2. I start up my xbox and FTP it.

3. I go to the Z:/ folder and extract the most recently used cache file (cache003.map)

4. I open PPF-Omatic.

5. When prompted to find an ISO file I switch the file type to "all files.*"

6. I select my cache003.map for the "ISO file" and I select the Two Towers mod as my "Patch"

7. I hit apply, and it says it is successful and that I should burn it to a disk.

8. I FTP the cache003.map file BACK to my Z:/ partrtion and overwrite the previously used cache003.map file.

9. I load up blood gultch and the map is the same as it was before.

Any help is appreciated!

all of the tutorials I read on teh forums say Im doing it right is there something I need to do with the cache files pre-transfering to my PC?
