yeah ive known about this map for a while. This is going to be awesome.
ABout you being worried about poly count, any video card can handle what is in the characters Field Of View. Remember that the character isnt looking at the whole map. Dont worry about boly count. It will work. Make a dense forest, just dont make it too dense, like on preacher hill.

thats a great map... id be willing to export it for u... im working on a map of my own right now... but wat does it mean and wat do i do if tool tells me i have "z buffered triangles" and "overlapping edges" but in 3ds max 6 the STL check says no errors... people seem to be making these maps with no worries at all of the errors that arent completely obvious like the degenerate triangle one (i still dont knwo the exact defintition of those) and they arent worried about hidden errors like im getting... can anyone help me on how to make sure i dont have any erros and how to fix htem if i do?

Dispraiser, i know you're probibly a while away from a beta of the map. and since you're a one man team, you probibly want to beta test on you're own. but if for any reason you need beta testers, i'd be glad to be one.

Great to see people like this map. That's provided I even care if it gets leaked. It's not like I'm gonna get any money if this map does great. If it gets released in an only 90% working version, so be it. Also, the Beta testing process for me is gonna be pretty simple. Get in a warthog and drive through the map once. If it all works, half done. Then I take a look at the bases. If that all works, all done. I really don't know what I'm supposed to do while beta testing. But yeah, when the time comes, you can test, along with whoever else wants to. I suppose holding a game in there would be the best way to test it.
Who knows when it will come out. If you want you can become my one official "Beta Testing Management Executive," along with Katarn and whoever else wants to help. Basicly, that means that one I get a beta of the map out, you can test it however you feel fit, and if there's any problems, simply tell me what they are and I'll see if anything can be done without requiring me to think at all.
