haloTV needs you!

As you may or may not know, haloTV has the capabilities to broadcast LIVE haloPC matches using some of the wonderful mods available here (the no-hud in particular). It also has used sparkEdit to add warps in the original haloPC maps for a spectator like viewing of maps. This made for a bootleg spectator mode for haloPC.

With the release of haloCE, we would like to continue our work, but now the mapfiles have changed, and CE maps cannot be opened/altered with sparkEdit. (Or at least i cannot get them to, please inform me if there is a way).

We desperately need a new version of sparkEdit or an alternative to continue providing the haloTV LIVE service. This is a very time sensitive matter, and action is needed asap.

We thought the release of the HEK would make it much easier, but since we do not have the source files for the original halo maps, we are out of luck, and i doubt gearbox would release those.

I'm asking if anyone can help here, some news about the next sparkEdit, will it be CE compatible, or possibly someone who would currently be able to do these minor modifications to CE maps. We will do anything we can to help, the modification would be a very simple task, and much recognition would be dished out.

Use the devmode console, but it can only be used for LAN.

this will not work, it must be used in conjunction with a dedicated server. thank you for your reply though

Sapien is much better than spark edit on just about every way. Why dont u just use that? I'm pretty sure that'll do what you are trying to do, unless you were trying to get spark edit to mess up

sapien will not open the compiled .map, it asks for.scenario tags, if you know a way, please let me know

? why support haloTV? because we are trying to provide the community with halo video coverage, and most importantly, LIVE halo matches. if you dont care about seeing the exciting matches that go on in the big leagues, that is fine, but please dont assume no one else cares, just because you dont.

haloTV allows for internet viewers to be able to observe gameplay from their computer.

From trick videos, to RvB, to recorded gameplay footage from Xbox and PC, haloTV is a file archive for Halo-related media.
