Curious about Chucky 1

Post by oldguy »

I posted this over at halo-mods as well. On the bridge of the POA, first mission, after getting pistol from captain--I read the control screen behind the mc for the first time. It said code: CHUCKY 1, status:weak, trajectory: hollywood jones, etc. Is this a programmer having fun, or part of the pc unlock code? For those of you who have been around since last fall, you'll probably remember one of the dev team saying they would release the code, but he then left gearbox. I've tried a few combinations of it in the shortcut box but without success thus far. There is mention of "chucky was here" when looking at .exe file with a hex editor.

"chucky was here" is also found in the xbe for the xbox version... (also, some references to Sam's documents)... lots of bogus crap was in the xbe, and also in the exe... what's interesting is that a LOT of the xbe is the same as the exe, even though they are for different platforms, and the PC version still contains the debugging console, which the xbe no longer has.... fun stuff. ;)

Of course it is, that's the whole purpose behind using directx for rendering on xbox. So code is easily portable.
