Utility: .max to .obj convertor w/o 3DS Max
This should be in Utilities, I know, and it will be when an administrator deems it worthy to be put there.
It's called "3D Exploration", and it is a stand-alone applet that, among other things, can be used to convert .max files into .obj files. This would be very helpful for gmax users who can't use too many filetypes.
As far as I know, it is the only one of its kind.

max models
OK, but how do I export Halo models from Halo or Halo CE without losing the UV coordinates. HMT3 exports the models with the normals flipped, and the UV's totally corrupted and useless.

http://www.anim8or.cominstead of max to obj, does anyone have a plugin to import .obj into 3ds?
You can import 3ds, obj, and a few more and export as 3ds, obj, and a few more.
I need a program that can export the .obj as well, I have milkshapr but it is just too hard to use, lightray doesn't work and I cant find out what to do with the blender plugins.
