fuel rod gun in sp

Post by konfuzd »

I'm trying to make the fuel rod gun usable in sp. I think the easiest way to do this would be to replace it in a sp map with the gun from an mp map. Would this work, and if so, how do I do it?

Wait hold on i just tried this and when i wnt to go find the fuelrod gun to save it wasnt there. I checked all maps too. I dont think this would be possible unless u went into HMT, opened up bloodgulch.map, found the projectile tab, found fuelrodcannon, saved it and imported it into the sp map. Thats the only way i could get a fuel rod cannon into sp

Rebuild with the tutorial in files. It works with anything that can be fully batch extracted (Hint: b40 == evil)

Thanks for the tutorial, but I've got a bigger problem. I'm too much of a noob at modding halo to understand most of what you're doing in the tutorial. I just started messing arround with HMT and Hex Workshop and the only thing I've succesfully done is swap metas and offsets. Could you please explain what you do in the 5th step?

Also, where does the (map name).sncr.meta file come from?

Ok, I think I've got everything covered except for the (map name).scnr.meta file. I'm using the bloodgulch map to add the gun to the c40 map. So far, I've added the plasma cannon weapon folder, the plasma cannon sound folder, and coppied the entire bg ui folder over the c40 ui folder without overwriting the existing files. Do I have everything covered? Also, in HMT, when you rebuild the map, can you just select the directory the new file is in or does each new file have to be selected?
