M.A.C. wrote:After just seeing the new MP video. I am disappointed with the homing rockets. I think the rocket launcher should just stay the way it is. The new homing module will just make it a newbie weapon. There is no better feeling than taking out a banshee in infinity from the ground WITHOUT HOMING rockets. The great thing about the current rockets in halo is that it requires masterful timing to pull off the best shots(taking out a footsoldier in sidewinder from across the map as he runs) Forgive my use of galaxies terms, but it appears that the warthog has been nerfed. It will easily be destroyed, and now it will be an easy target to take out in one shot. You will no longer be able to dodge the rockets with evasive moves. If your enemy gets one decent shot in, there is no method of stopping it other than getting out and running like hell.(not the best idea when infiltrating an enemy base) The rocket launcher is a weapon used by experienced players, and should not be made into a newbie weapon. You could at least make homing rockets a secondarey fire that takes 3 times as long to shoot. Please express your fellings on this in this thread.
Yes...you have a good point. *votes no*

that depends if you
A. Notice it in time and
B. They don't make it follow you past that(the programmers, not the n00bs)
Well, yea, look around. Be aware.

And if you run at it at a tight angle, I guarantee you that it will lose track of you, rather than make a 135 degree angle to come back at you.

it wouldn't have to turn 125 degrees, it could just make a huge turn and come back at you

that would be crazy, i dont think they will add a strong homing utility, it wont be so smart as to completely turn around and hit you, in the demo, the guy even misses a shot -- IT IS NOT COMPLETELY HOMING, jus a little

Ok, this is set 500 years from now. And their weaponry is crap (for 500 years, their hogs and dropships sure suck. The AR is really bad.). I can say that homing rockets is futuristic and should be added to the game just for that. I think it like the Human equivalent of sticky grenades.

The Target Tracking only works on Worthog and Ghost and such, they don't work on Humans.

There should be a special type of rocket launcher that's rare that does that. Like what the fusion rocket launcher in Red Faction was to the normal one.
