New aliens on halo 2?

I was watching the halo 2 preview, and i saw that there is a new type of covenant: the Brutes. which brought up a couple of questions:

1. is there going to be new covenant?

2. is there going to be new aliens other than covenant? (like the flood)

3. what rank do you think they would be in? (higher than jackals, under elites, etc.)

if you read those halo books and they tell everything, please dont flame me, i havent read any of those. if you can, please post a picture or a link to a picture of any new aliens or stuff. if you dont know what a brute is, heres a picture of one: http://www.ogresnet.com/halo/pics/c_brute.jpg

ah. it seems like they would be lower, they seem more like a berzerker kind of alien, not an organized high rank guy. but, then again, they do seem better than elites.

Toaster you could have looked around more, but I don't think flaming him will go anywhere productive either.

Use the search feature it really helps, and Google.com. But I think people could be kinder to people who don't know alot about Halo 2 just because they don't have the time or care.

ATTENTION: When using the search function do not type:

"Hey, gimme the word brute"
or
"I need a search for brute"

the point is to use KEYWORDS and not fucking paragraphs

Unlike half you stupid bastards, I can give the dude some actual info.

In Halo : First Strike, John and the other living SPARTANs fight a few Brutes, and see their sheer strength, and agility. According to the ending chapter, the Brutes are guardians to the Prophets, who seem to be some religous figure in the Covenant hierarchy. Brutes also seem to hate Elites, just as much as Elites hate them, and according to OXM (Official Xbox Magazine), you'll see them fight and argue in Halo 2. Not only in cinematics, even, sometimes on the front lines in actual gameplay, thanks to the new AI system.
