I don't like any of the Logos in "HaloMods Logo Contest".

Trulife8342's is Ok...but it doesn't work with the white too well, and in such the reflection looks like its blending into the Menu. Is that is really what it would look like? or Is It a Photoshop error? ( Though I presume what was done was the use of Stylish and Print Screen)

RaVNzCRoFT's is actually alright...BUT... in this updated look ( Web 2.0-ish Thing-a-mic-bob) with the gradient in the background here in the forums, the Matte thing just doesn't work. ...

noscottno's is...well... You get cred for not using the same old. It looks bad though... I think. It just doesn't work, I don't know what else to say. None the less, as bad as I feel it is, the slight gradient you have in it works beautifully in the forums blue bar.

Geo's is also alright, it might even be the best one. It isn't ( keep reading...Ill explain) . I find the shadow takes away from it. The forums blue bar when you look at it has a slight..."Curve" effect. With the shadow it looks like it is floating...and it makes if look rather awkward. In the white it looks like a smudge. Ewww. Also the colors SLAP me in the face. They seem too vibrant to me. It takes away more from the surrounding area in the current color scheme. It looks good...but not here. That is why it is the best, but also the worst.

As for Numerical and Sarb... Really. Is that the BEST you could do? I mean...there is nothing wrong with using what we have already as a Base, but I feel it kinda redundant to vote for something the Geo or Whoever is holding the ( I preume ) .PSD for the logo could do in about 5 and scrap the whole "vote" thing all together. Options.

Numerical how could you Submit something with such a blatant aliasing issue? Oh...I know why. If it didn't have such a blatant aliasing issue it would be Sarb's Logo :/ ( They look almost freeking Identical...Blah). Also Numerical... yours seems to be fighting the Blue "Curve".

Sarb yours needs work by the bottom of the h and the top of s. They feel way to strong.

Logos are very powerful little things. It is the first impression of many things. I see nothing I like... but that might because I'm just a picky ass ( HA!..wait...ew O_o :P)

As such... no votes from me.

I'm with that guy. ^ I'm the main PSD holder at the moment, but apparently no one was satisfied with my little remake to fit the current theme. I like contests, but when it comes to the image that represents a site the size of Halomods, we shouldn't leave it up to a vote.. or at least retain the right to refuse a winner if it flat-out sucks; which most of the logos unfortunately do. I'm not saying mine is the best; which is probably what it sounds like. All I'm saying is that changes should have been made on a more official level. Instead of an open contest, maybe pick from some of site's better designers or prominent members to collaborate and make one.

I must say though... I feel a little guilty. I basically just stated that the entire thing is a faux, waste of your time, ect. on the last day of said contest. Would of said something sooner but it took this long for me to form up what I wanted to say. I like what we have now. Im not saying that there isn't room for improvement or change though . There is a lot of stuff you have to think about.

I might have a medical condition that i didn't know about. I went outside to turn off my car and fell, think i sprained my foot. After I turned it off and got back inside I got a dizzy spell and actually passed out for a few seconds. I never hit my head when I fell but the sudden fall and getting back up might have triggered something. Starting to think I might have some kind of Postural Hypotension. Never had something like that happen to me before.

Yeah, if you get dehydrated enough your blood is thicker and won't pump through your body as easy. So it might take a little longer to get to your brain. You just get dizzy, or did your vision start to go black? I'm 6'4" so I tend to get that a lot if I stand up to fast.

I'm around 6" myself. I sometimes get the vision thing when i stand up but not very often. Yesterday i actually passed out though for a few seconds. Probably just need to drink more.
