Pop on the cd drive or whatever you have now or go find your own.
Epic build right there. Will play crysis on 1680x1050 on high with aa and af, or very high without aa and af. REMEMBER TO OVERCLOCK THE CPU, ASK ME FOR HELP IF YOU NEED TO.
Subtotal: $1,194.90

I think you mean, better AND cheaper.
Mobo I picked has nearly exactly the same specs and is about $80 cheaper (the one you picked had an optical out and a coax out, whereas mine only had coax out; mine has crossfire and more)
4870 > GTx280
CPU Cooler: Xigamatech Thingy = useless; using stock cooling can overclock to 3.2 easy
PSU: 750W Corsair = way more than you need
The monitor I picked is full 1080p; it's only an inch smaller and a lot cheaper
Vist 64-bit = lol.
Plus mine comes with a 5.1 surround sound system.
Your subtotal: $1550
My subtotal: <$1200

WAT, the GTX 280 nearly beats the 4870 in crossfire.
Also, you can't hit 3.2 on stock cooling, period.
Also, I screwed up on the motherboard, I was doing it for another build, I was trying to get the PQ5 pro.
EDIT: The 280 GTX actually beats the 4870 in CF.

Even with the GTX280, mine is still way cheaper.

Subtotal: $1,249.90 (Because I replaced the WD Green with 640GB WD Black)

What is your optimal price range?Jordan wrote:Yeah.. so I initially asked the question and now I'm just as lost. I don't need to play crysis on superhigh settings.. I only really play css. Other than that I just wanted a regular comp that would handle larger photoshop files than my current setup.

Total: $749.99
That should be good enough for you.
Rant: we need a dedicated computers thread.
