I didn't like CS3 and CS4 at first because it would get all laggy and would make my screen go black for a few seconds every time I went select a part of the image. It was partially the graphics card drivers I was using combined with vista that caused it to do that. Now that I use xp again and nvidia has released better drivers I'm starting to like CS3, CS4's theme bugs me for some reason.HPDarkness1 wrote:I don't understand why people hate the new versions, they have awesome tools like redefine edge, and content aware scaling.

With CS3, I didn't like how the made everything so compact. how the tools snapped to the edges of the canvas until you dragged them in. that always irritated me, and I haven't got the disks for CS4 yet, to see if they changed that, so I tend to switch between 2 and 3. I like the Filters and layer styles as layers thing in 3, but the compacted button scheme removes the workspace in illustrator.Geo wrote:I think it would be fair enough for people to dislike new versions if good features were removed in the newer, but that's hardly the case with Photoshop. If it keeps what's good, and adds more... why not go for the newer one?

Some of my favorite songs right there, heh. Especially Dead by Dawn because it's based off of Evil Dead 2! Those were some interesting movies, by the way. George Romero Will Be At Our Wedding is a great song too, interesting lyrics.bibbit wrote:Showbread is great, I only have a few of their songs (Your Owls are Hooting, Oh! Emetophobia!, Dead by Dawn) but have heard more, they are excellent.
I thought nobody liked them honestly...kind of nice to see this discussion here.
I agree, I didn't think many people had heard of them or thought they were very good, but they're awesome! Want to go see them in concert, but don't think they'll be playing in Ohio any time soon, heh.
I haven't listened to it yet, but I do have it. Well, my brother does, I'll have to get it from him.SHOUTrvb wrote:Anorexia/Nervosa is great in the right mood. Go get it. :p
I've heard the each album comes with a little story that you are supposed to read in a certain situation. Like the No Sir, Nihilism is Not Practical should be read in a dark room lit by a single lamp or something? A friend of mine told me this so I'm not exactly sure, heh.
Also much higher resource demands. The jump from Flash CSx - CS4 is pretty amazing, I'm running the trial at the moment. But it really can demand a lot from the laptop.HPDarkness1 wrote:I don't understand why people hate the new versions, they have awesome tools like redefine edge, and content aware scaling.

edit: Holy crap. I can save so much of my time now! In flash there is a "Find and replace" tool which works on colours. Allowing me to easily change the colour of a drawing, rather than going into each of the million layers I have an changing one colour.
AWESOME
