The year in halomods - 2008 - Year 5
So here we are yet again, another year has passed on our lovely ship here at Halomods. For those of you who are newer around here, this has become my yearly tradition. This year brought us many different things, mainly the SQL table horror that we face every day.
As we enter the 5th year of our voyage with all of us sitting here aboard this ship around the log mod tree waiting for our glorious mods, I ask you all; Where do you see halomods in a year?

In a year?
We'll take on about 4 more Halo PC modding noobs.
75% of the current noobs will become pretty good, 25% either not improving or leaving
66% of the pretty good guys will become awesome and 33% will remove themselves from the modding aspect of halomods, either by foruming only or just not showing up anymore.
A new version of eschaton will be released, and it will be better than sliced bread.
People will find new ways to use new tools to do obscure changes, albeit ones that are nice if subtle.
I will actually release a mod.

There is usermap (Forge) modding, which is limited to content already in the map files (only restriction is the CON signatures, which have been cracked), and there is .map modding, which only those with DevKits and modified xex's can do (the restriction here is the RSA map signatures, which hasn't been cracked and never will be).WaeV wrote:When did Halo 3 modding change from forge maps to actual modding? I thought there was some restriction or something we couldn't get over.

Doing your . . . son?[/obscure reference]
I see the Mac section of PC mods getting a bit more attention and a slow, inconsistent increase in the ability to mod Halo 3.

This thread is why 14-year-olds are looked down on on the internet.Proclaimer001 wrote:It's going to take more than one drunk prostitiute to bring down ShamWoW Guy!

Do you still have a copy of that? Or did its epic-ness exceed hard drive capacity?GametagAeonFlux wrote:Nothing will ever be better than the collab Ketchup and I made using omega pro defaults.
I think Halomods is going somewhere in '09. Hop on the Obama bandwagon.

Racky Sutaruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and Konata-chaaaaaaan~
While searching for that, I found this image I made earlier this year, I feel it's appropriate to repost.

For those who don't remember the context, it was something about Turk celebrating Christmas at some obscure time of the year.
I still have my half, didn't ever save the whole...you could probably find it if you searched a bit.Ketchup_Bomb wrote:Do you still have a copy of that? Or did its epic-ness exceed hard drive capacity?
