LAN parties, yes. I want to have a Halo 3 setup for New Years', but I don't really want to buy a copy for myself. And I can't test it out myself, because my Forza is scratched and won't copy over.Tural wrote:Out of curiosity, what would be the point?

NXE isn't that bad. Only problem is some pages/windows/whatever load really slowly.

Haha, Thrice, Artist in the Ambulance(song), just popped up on Pandora, and I had this sudden urge to start modding Halo.
Like, I felt like my hand almost involuntarily brought my mouse down to the Halo 2 folder.

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.
I actually had halo 2 music pop up on Pandora before.

There are no such files. It simply requires that you have the disk in the drive, for copyright reasons. Can't have you going and putting that game on a bunch of 360s now can they? (Hence why you can't just go and have a LAN party with one disk, unless you pop the top off the drive to get the disk out without opening the drive, which they probably should have seen coming)CompKronos wrote:From what i understood about NXE is that you shouldn't be able to hot-swap because it does move some of the game's files over; however, there are still files and items it needs to run off the disc that aren't on the hard drive.
Random thought: Can you defrag your 360's HD
What structure does the file system use? There's always a way to defragment a file system, even if it would never require such a task (like EXT4)

Everything you'll ever need to know about me.
Need help with Linux, C#, C, Python, Java, PHP, Javascript, CSS, or VB? I'm available from 3:00PM-8:00PM EST on weekdays.
