i am honestly disgusted with the lackof sympathy you are showing to him. have you ever been through this situation? if you havnt then stfu and have some respect if you have then congratulations on dealing with it so well but he is going dealing with it very differently and needs either support or just somewhere to vent without negative criticism so i suggest we give both

My uncle OD'd on ecstasy when I was 10. Both my grandparents and my great grandfather died in about a one year period. My ~20 year old cousin died in a car wreck a couple of months ago, kid was as good as they come, wouldn't hurt a fly. Several kids in my high school committed suicide, and a very very very close girl friend of mine has attempted it several times and I've watched her life slowly collapse over the course of five years. I could go on and on, and I'm sure plenty of other people here could as well, with much more heart wrenching stories to boot. Everyone's got their share of problems, and part of becoming mature is realizing that you need to be able to handle those things by yourself. People who whine about things are just crying out for attention, and to be honest it's sick how selfish of an act it is to say YOU'RE hurting and looking for sympathy because some girl killed herself.

As for moving away from friends, I've moved away from all of my friends...from Georgia to Nebraska. Most of us don't talk at all anymore, not just me and my friends, but amongst themselves as well. Unless you go to a local college, you're probably not going to see 90% of your friends from high school after you graduate except the occasional breaks when you come home.

Life is a ****, bad things happen to good people, and no matter how many BFF charms you buy, you're not always going to be best friends...or friends forever. It's ok to be sad about something, but to go so far as to say it's causing you some incredible, unbearable grievance is absolutely ludicrous. Get. Over. It.

like i said in the first post congratulations on handling it so well but others arent able to when my closest brother threw his life away i dealt with it by beating the shit out of people for minor reasons people handle bad times differently he was just venting not whining

Today just sucked. Period. I hate high school. The novelty has long worn off. I hate not having anytime and I seriously have a problem with the fact that homework is now used to learn the material instead of to reinforce the material and is given in such ridiculous amounts as well. Gah! And our grading system basically f**** our GPA when the county that is literally one minute from my house has a normal grading system for Virginia. For reference, our scale is:
94-100 A
90-93.5 B+
84-90 B
80-84 C+
74-80 C
70-74 D+
64-70 D
0-64 F
for every AP class add .5 to your final grade in that class and for every honors class you get a pat on your back...and more homework

For the County next to me and about 90% of Virginia the scale is as follows:
90-100 A
85-90 B+
80-85 B
75-80 C+
70-75 C
65-70 D+
60-65 D
0-60 F
For every AP class add 1.0 to final grade and for honors classes add .5 to your final grade.

I've missed almost 2 weeks of school already, and it's due to having a UTI, and my stomach hurting. I'm forced to go to school, again today, with my stomach absolutely killing me. I have IBS as well, and so it's horrible. I want to be homeschooled so bad.
