Ok I have tried multiple different ways of getting this to work. I tried modifying with ppf-o-matic numerous times and every time I uploaded the modded cache file Halo overwrote them with the defaults. So now I have moved onto Halo Cache Editor to try and get it to work. I run this app and I see "Bloodgulch" in the list of recognized cache files and then I continue into editing it. I see 17 pages of options so I assume the ppf has been found and is letting me choose options.
I then press Y to save and Start to start halo. It starts as the same ole bloodgulch every time. Has anyone ever successfully got this mod to work on an Xbox? If so exactly how did you do it. I have the exact same problem with snowgulch.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Getting junglegulch to work!
What u need to do is upload the ppf file into the ntsc\ppf directory in the hce main directory. Then, run HCE and hit the back button. Choose patch cache file. Choose the file u want, in this case junglegulch, and patch the bloodgulch map. It should say patching...and u just wait for it to finish.
What it seems to me that u were doing was just opening BG in HCE. HCE also allows u to do your own small hacks(such as flying vehicles and projectile hacks etc...) without the ppfs. You can just edit any map with it. But it still is limited to what u can do.
Hope this helps. I tend to ramble on a lot so forgive the large reply.
