It is fun. I won't say get a life, because if you don't want to drink that's your choice and I respect that.
My rant is that Don LaFontaine died.

You know, I was about to post about how I'm trying to figure out how Tural's avatar got smaller, but then I remembered how some people(staff members, I think?) get so agitated when someone mentions a change in someone's avatar, so I decided not to...
=X
Edit: OH! It's for the birthday hat! Doi!

Isn't it hard when it's people who you use to like, who you use to enjoy spending time with? The people you use to have respect for, but now the sight of them is repulsive because you can't stand to see a friend destroy their lives? It's hard.

If your definition of binge drinking is the same as mine, you need to chill out a bit more. They're enjoying their youth, doing stuff they can't do when they have serious jobs and serious responsibilitys. Fair enough if like they're out doing class-A drugs or something, but getting drunk at parties a lot and stuff? Big deal, they're teenagers.

It has hardened me, alot. I keep seeing people start doing it. Makes me hate more people.

They're doing stuff they're not supposed to do, as it is illegal.

The Australian Government claims 4 drinks is binge drinking

I see binge drinking as drinking every day or so, going over the RDA of alcohol =\
I drink at parties and whatnot, It's fun. But not when people drink by themselves/get drunk for the sake of being drunk. That's just sad.

Yeah. Which is why I understand GTAF's point, witnessing your friends just do that just to stumble and hurt themselves so people can laugh at them isn't very fun. Thankfully, my friends don't do it anymore - or not to the extent of not eating and then skulling a few drinks quickly so as to get drunk easily.
And I laugh at the 4 drink binge though, problem is, is that it takes me too long to get even tipsy. Sometimes its like 6 others its 12 - but thats with bourbon, vodka on the other hand >_>

Thought the definition of a binge was like.. going for a while without alcohol, then just going crazy with it. Like binge eating?

I have no problem with drinking in moderation or socially. What I have a problem with is when 90% of my friends have pictures of themselves drinking on Facebook, and they've gained noticeable amounts of fat within a month of being at college.
So apparently a heat-resistant oven mitten at my house lost its heat resistance very fast, and it turned from "feeling warm quickly" to "let's just transmit the full heat instantaneously."

Sure you weren't wearing them the wrong way around? And the heat resistance wasn't protecting the wrong side of your hand?

No, you can only put it on one way. It's been slowly fading from being a magical glove of heat protection. Even this weekend, it was perfectly tolerable...hot things would only warm up my hand faster. But today it felt like going straight to burny pain.

More depression. I can't sleep when I should be, and I'm wondering what choices I made for this coming school year (as in tomorrow) were good ones, and which ones were bad. My elective choice (play production) is seeming more like a worse idea every second I think about it.
I question the education system again: There is no way in HELL I am going to need to find out how much of a 30% acid solution I need to mix with a 90% acid solution to make a 50% acid solution. Why teach it unless I fucking need it? I'm thinking of either going into restaurant, writing, acting, or (tiny possibility) law. Doesn't seem like something I need to do with mixing solutions, and don't give me "WAIT DUED WAT IF U N33D 2 COMBINE CHERRY AND STRAWBERRY DRINKS IN A RESTAURANT [/smart-ass]."
I mean, some algebra and geometry should be taught, but it's not necessary. Also, getting into a good college is not a good reason. That's bullshit too. Colleges or any school should pick students by their expertise in their preferred majors and minors, not by how well they did with concepts that are alien to them. Again, you could say "They're trying to see how quickly and well you can learn hard things." Touche. But there's no need to do that if they learn what they want to do quickly, but not the stuff they don't.
Really, this is just the way of saying I FUCKING HATE MATH AND DON'T WANT TO DO IT. EVER.

I agree. Except, different subjects. School, IMO, needs to be reformed to fit the path we want to go. For example, plumbers probaly don't need half the math classes as students who are pursuing higher education. I wish my school/I wish I would have done something in high school, had more classes available to me instead of a "corriculum". I didn't know the first thing about calculus before college. I learned more in my first year of college than I did the four years of high school.
