the skins you are editing are UV maps that have been filled in to blend with the model...
you make a model, create a UV map, which wraps around the model, color it in and add detail, and apply it to the model...
thing is, UV maps sometimes have both sides of a model on them, so you can put a happy face on one half of a warthog and a sad face on the other....
BUT you'd probably have to make an entirely new UV...

Sounds like you read a tutorial from a pot head who has been awake for 48 hours. And to add to that, it also sounds like you didn't understand it completely.timmy42 wrote:the skins you are editing are UV maps that have been filled in to blend with the model...

Heres a rundown on the term "UVW". It's skin coords on a model. Non of this, "the the skin has 2 sides of model by deefaylt!"
Methods: UVW Wrap: Applying texture coords to a face/group of faces.
UVW Unwrap: Applying a face or a group of faces to a texture, creating coords. <-Allows for cleaner UVW Coords.
I'm sick of PC people acting like they know what they are talking about. Anyways, some skins look ok, some better than others, some worse than others. Good job though.
