28 Weeks later

Post by guysullavin »

Ok, I've got 28 Weeks Later downloading in iTunes and i wanted to know what you guys think of it.
I did see 28 Days later before this, and was completely amazed at its completely amzingness of a movie it was, that was a definite 5/5 for me. anyone that hasnt seen it should, unless your a big wimp and dont liek the whole genre of horror, but I'll let you know, that this wasn't that scary for a horror movie, it was just really intense.

Fail.
UTTER FAIL.

28 days later was awesome. The whole empty city, ambient music, survivor stuff etc was great and well done, and done better than I Am Legend, if you ask me. The dialogue was a little meh, but I still liked it a lot.

28 weeks later might as well have come with free poop for me to smell and tabasco sauce to rub in my eyes. The whole Iraq-War allegory nonsense felt forced and retarded. The sniper scene was boring. The whole helicopter/flamethrower chase scene was lame and overdone. The family story was boring and I didn't care about any of the characters. I would've preferred they just continue the first story in some way, or pick someone else around the same period. The movie felt far less like an intense horror movie than a subpar action film. It felt like Black Hawk Down with zombies, which I do not care for.

Also, the ending was lame.

There's some nifty explosions.. But other than that, 28 Days Later was much better. I hope they don't keep the movies going..

ok... it was't as good as i hoped, but scenes of it were good, I actually liked the sniper scene but as soon as i heard "airstrike" I just knew that scene was gonna suck. and the n00b sniper scene was just bull s**t they wouldn't appoint him if he was a crappy sniper. plus wtf the gives her a kiss when then he gets infected? it just seems like theres too many retards in this movie...

i was also hoping that the infection spread to the rest of the world for 28 weeks later, you know, to see some familiar places, then for 28 years later to go onto a martian planet, then 28 decades later to different solar systems then 28 centuries later... you get the idea...

in the end it was good, better than what people say, but definitely worse than 28 days later... I would like to see a sequel, and i hope that they do a better job than this one.

Seriously?

I mean, I know it's ridiculous to have zombies to begin with, but space travel seems a little out there for this.

Sequels are never as good as the original. Yes it was a bit lame, but when it comes to killing zombies or "the infected" there's nothing better, I mean come on the helicopter chops up like 50 of them lol

no not seriously, that was a joke... although it would be interesting if humans developed space travel and went to other planets but on the ship was an infected person who ravaged them all.../sarcasm

Meh, the movie was alright.
If you've already paid for it, don't cancel the download.

Also, most people would think of The Dark Knight as 10 times better than the previous one. (I don't, but many do).

I personally never finished this movie, I got to where she is in the ventilation system, then had to stop watching for whatever reason. It didn't seem like it was nearly as epic as the first though.

I thought 28 weeks later was great, you want a bad movie, watch 30 days of night or shoot em up. Those were HORRIBLE movies...
Don't be.

I thought 30 Days of Night was a pretty decent movie (despite the over abundance of vampire screams). The books are pretty entertaining as well.

The special effects were good, Makeup was fantastic, Acting was good. The storyline however.... It was as if it was written by a 3 year old... Everything was so predictable and multiple times they showed you something or threw something in there just so they could reference it later... Just off the top of my head, the "poop smasher" and the Flares and Bear Traps... Not gonna spoil anything but if you've seen it you'll know what I mean.

True as well. It did have a bit of a boring story line. It just hit a weak point for me. I find vampires fascinating (not in a sense that I pretend I'm one, like some people).
