That relay was pretty intense.. didn't think we'd be able to make up the deficit. I want to see the 4x400m relay. I think it's on the 20th or something.

About a couple weeks away from the computer was nice. My family and I went up to a condo by a lake for a while. Just went boating and had fun in the condo. We also went horseback riding which was a blast, actually. They wouldn't let us run for long distances.. just to catch up, which was a let down, but it was still pretty cool. All in all, I think I need to stay away from the computer more often.

Lies. The computer is your friend. As G4 says, stay out of the sun.

Speaking of which, after taking a break from video games for a couple of months, it's nice to be back on the scene. Today is the first day, and I'm going to kick some ass at Halo 3.

Went to Fry's today. Drive there was pretty shitty, but I picked up a 4gb MicroSD card for only $20, and a cable for my 360 so I can use my monitor like a TV (so I only have to bring my monitor out to college, instead of having to get some sort of TV as well).

Also started a Dragon Sword only run of Ninja Gaiden 2 on Acolyte (a fun way to vent steam...I'd forgotten just how easy it was to play Acolyte), and it seems like my Karma is actually fairly high for how little of the game I've completed.

I'm thinking of either getting that, or just a DVI F->M cable, because I have the HDMI cable, and an HDMI to DVI adapter that came with my graphics card, but my monitor's stand gets in the way of plugging it in. :( Tell me how it works when you connect it up, and how the resolution options look.

The quality on mine is great, but the 360's resolution choices are a bit lacking...after 1280x720 (720i/p) there's like, 1280x1024, 1368xsomething, then straight to 1920x1080 (1080i/p). My monitor's highest resolution is 1680x1050, so I just use the 720p option and it looks pretty good.

I just sold my 52" Widescreen HDTV, and I got enough money to buy the TV that they use at MLG Events ($368 at NewEgg, $449 at their site), and the new DELL Desktops. (http://www.dell.com/content/products/pr ... ref=homepg).

Also, that desktop only outputs HDMI and something else (I think DVI), and the Xbox 360's are hooked up at MLG Events via VGA cables, so that works out perfectly. I'll have my computer hooked up through the HDMI, and my Xbox 360 hooked up with the VGA cables.

Oh, and since our school is now letting us use laptops, my Mom decided that she would offer to buy me one. It's one of the newer one's that dell is offering, "Studio 15."

Here's the basic specs on it:
SYSTEM COLOR: Tangerine Orange
PROCESSOR: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5750 (2.00GHz/667Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
OPERATING SYSTEM: Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition SP1
HD DISPLAY: Hi Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1920x1200)
VIDEO CARD: 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450
MEMORY: 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2
HARD DRIVE: 160GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
INTERNAL OPTICAL DRIVE: 8X Slot Load CD / DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)
WIRELESS NETWORK CARDS: Dell 1397 Wireless-G Card
INTEGRATED WEBCAM: Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam
BATTERY OPTIONS: 56 Whr Lithium Ion Battery (6 cell)
SOUND OPTIONS: High Definition Audio 2.0
FINGERPRINT SCANNER: NO FINGER PRINT READER
KEYBOARD: Back-lit Keyboard

Sometimes I hook up my 360 to my monitor with a cable I got for like 3 bucks. I had to shell my normal cable so I could plug both in (I think Microsoft made the case extra thick so you had to buy the official cable) and get sound. They're finally adding support for monitor in the next update, so it should definitely look better, although I don't really mind how it looks now.

What do you mean? I thought all they were doing was adding two new resolutions? (1680x1050, 1440x900)

Having the Xbox attached to my monitor is fucking great. All i do to switch is unplug the cable and replug it into a different slot.

Also, I can plug a keyboard in and type messages, too!

Haha, yea it is. All I have to do is plug and unplug, the 360 recognizes the latest one I plugged even when I have one plugged in to the monitor and another plugged in to the TV at the same time.
