two betrayals warthog exception

Post by AbeFroman »

i PMIed a marine into two betrayals, swapped it with the cyborg, and did all of this stuff to it, now whenever i get close to the flipped warthog right before the 2 driveable banshees, the wraith, the enemy banshees flying around, and the 2 hunters, i get exception, i got a glitch to work where the warthog doesn't spawn and went to the area with no exception so it isn't the equipment around it for sure, anyone know how to fix this?

do you need to have the warthog spawn? And did you add in the warthog, or was it always there?

it was always there, it spawns correctly, but when i get within "press e to flip" distance, even when i'm already in a vehicle, such as a ghost, i get an exception. nothing looks out of the ordinary when i see the warthog, theres no wierd stray verts or anything like that...i can't get close enough to the warthog to give any more details or i get exception

check the closest LOD of the warthogs model. Then check the closeslt MIP map for it's bitmap.

Or you may have just f---ed up your map. It's happened to me before.

On this topic, has anybody noticed an exception in the beginning cutscene of a rebuilt Two Betrayals (which you can skip and continue the level as normal) and funked chief animations in the final cutscene?
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

It's happened to me in a SP-MP of the library, for no reason. Whenever I walked over a certain spot, instant exception.

the cutscenes are working fine

and about your suggestion for getting this fixed, that makes sense, but i checked both of those and nothing wierd...EXCEPT, the first time i tried to look at the mod2 thing HMT got an error and closed...but i reopened it and tried to look at the same model and didn't get an error

nothing out of the ordinary on the bitmaps either
