You have to tell me when, what distro, and what you didn't enjoy, because as Linux development of any sort evolves so quickly, chances are even something you had problems with last week has been resolved somewhere since then. You can't hate Linux because of how it feels because Linux itself has no specific feel or design to it - don't like GNOME? Use something else, there are dozens of window managers. Don't like the look? Change it. It's hundreds of times easier in any Linux distro than in Windows (same goes for making custom theme engines).
I guess in 15 minutes I'll see to what extent 'Limited Functionality' means.
Last I checked, the compositor (Aero) won't run and you can only stay logged in for an hour, among other various limitations.

No I don't. If I don't like something I don't have to give reasoning to anyone for why I dislike it.
FleetAdmiralBacon wrote:chances are even something you had problems with last week has been resolved somewhere since then.
I didn't have any problems. I didn't say that.
FleetAdmiralBacon wrote:You can't hate Linux because of how it feels
Yes I can.

Crap.

[EDIT] Turns out I have another day.

Maybe in a day I can find a 1TB HDD to back up my stuff, turns out my 320GB HDD doesn't hold all my stuff. :(

That's not how I meant that, but I'm sure you know that. I'd just like to know why you don't like Linux so that I, as a member of many open source projects, can know where to improve.
I didn't have any problems. I didn't say that.
That's good to hear, then...
Yes I can.
You're not seeing what I'm saying. You can't not like something for an aspect that you can change to meet virtually any need. You seem to enjoy using Windows, and you can easily set up any Linux distro to have the exact same feel as any version of Windows. What you're saying makes it sound like you don't like Linux just because it's Linux, which is one of those logical fallacies.
Crap.
if (that == sarcasm) { yes, it's really not that bad; }
else { it's really not as bad as it sounds; }

I shouldn't have to modify an OS to look like the one I prefer.

People can just not like something. I don't have to have a reason, and I certainly don't have to share them if I do.

What do you actually get out of preaching about Linux?

Thanks for the suggestion, it's not the right thing for me, however. I'll stick with Windows. It's my fault I'm in this situation, I just think it should be easier to sort out than it is.

I get quite a lot out of it when people actually have the patience to listen to reason and make logical decisions. By all means, use Windows, I was never trying to get to change your ways, simply provide an appropriate alternative to using a system you yourself declared unusable during your period of "need". For those that do end up making even the smallest of switches, I leave knowing I saved them time, money, and in cases where people were really having problems with Windows, effort.

Also, changing a theme isn't modifying the OS. That's how you do it in Windows.

It was removed so I wouldn't have to argue with you, because I know you will refuse to quit, ever, which was proven by you posting your message anyways. If he doesn't like something, drop it. Do not continue to pry for his explanations or whatever else. He has given you his stance, accept it.

Then the issues he and yourself have may never be resolved, and though you quite obviously don't care, it may screw someone else over in the end.
You're right, we don't care, so stop going on about it.

Never really listened to Elvis seriously enough to call myself a fan or not. And NJ is a bit far off our route. :P

From what I gathered, he was banned for uploading something to his fileshare after he was banned from using it; unless it was something he uploaded before the fileshare was banned.

To be honest, it sounds like they are banning him for a BS reason, because he's a known modder.

It wasn't intended to be 'advertising'; I was 'ranting' that no one had replied after 26+ views.

Max: Can you 100% guarantee that he hasn't made any modified content at any time on his console? The Live banning system is slow...
Veegie: So he got banned from something he apparently did weeks ago?
Max: Could be.
Max: You realise if I go investigate this and it turns out he has done something bad, that reflects badly on you?
We have a very, very low false positive rate on banning.
If he has ever done anything wrong, then he can't be surprised if at some time he gets banned.
It's not like there is a grace period of 10 days and if we don't catch you within that time then you are safe.
We can do more than you think.

So just by having mods on you're console, and not using them on Live, you can be banned?

If I knew for sure. But no one does. So I don't know, as I've said over and over.
