Um thats impractical, you should get XPORT or XSATA.

yes it will work i use sata cable form my computer just like that one and it works

It will work as long as you have a sata connection on your motherboard, or an ide/sata converter

Yes, technically, as stated above, it would work if you took the time to connect everything. But, you will be doing alot more work and putting alot more effort into it, also opening up your hard drive, which is unnecessary if you bought Xport or Xsata.

Why don't people use the Microsoft Transfer Kit? You can get it free and it works good.

You cannot get it for free unless you have a valid serial number for your new device and call Microsoft to have them send it to you.

It's the only licensed "Special Edition" console, which the order form refers to, so I'd guess yes.
