What EXACTLY needs to be accomplished to mod a halo 3 map file and play it?

A method of skipping the signature checks, and A) burning a disk each time you change a map or B) Find a way to run games from your hard drive.

Well hopefully someone will figure it out SOON or someone will spill the beans(don't count on it). I want to mod campaign so bad. What I want to do is very simple too. Single shot BR at three times the damage and Swap out the marines for Spartans.

the fall update will allow the content to be run from your hard drive, but this still executes using your disk. Notice how my post said find a way to sign maps and THEN do one of those things.

we also dont know if microsoft is going to pack games into a single signed file when you copy it.

The deciding factor in whether or not that will matter is if you must be connected to LIVE to do it. IF you are connected to LIVE, it could be signed with a MS private key in a LIVE or PIRS container. If you can do it offline, then it will most likely be CON as i dont think they will create a new container format with a locally stored private key.

You won't have to be connected to Live.
Running it off the hard drive isn't even the issue here, so there's really no reason why we're discussing that. If you can't run a modified XEX, it doesn't matter if you can run it off the hard drive or not.

I have another question. Is it possible to spawn more than 2 Hornets on Sandtrap? I played around with some stuff in Forge (supermodder's app), cloning chunks etc, The I changed the run time maximum, design time maximum and count on map to the number of Hornets on the map, but only 2 Hornets spawned in game.

Design Time Maximum does not work, its just there.

I would like some quick clarification if possible and that is, if i swap the tag offsets inside the usermap file it only switches due to the location, but if i had the technology to edit the .map and i swapped the offset of a cone with a biped then in forge placed a "cone" on that map it would spawn the biped correct?
