I admit, the vision thing was the worst part of the movie.

After seeing Wanted, I was disappointed Morgan Freeman didn't curse in this movie.

I agree. When he is about to fight Joker in a well lit area and leaves it on I was like "What the hell ? Are you fucking dumb ? He is clearly visible and all that thing is doing is making it more difficult."

Just saw it, and I loved it. Batman's been my favorite since I was a kid, and seeing the transition of the cheap "holy shit I can't move my neck", to a more modern version is way cool.
The first one was better in some ways.. As stated before, we saw a lot less of Bruce and more of Batman, which, wasn't that bad. There's also something different about the first one, though. I liked how quiet he kept Batman to be, rather than being public.
It was pretty cool to see some day time scenes rather than having his role prevail in the night, though.
As for the Joker.. Awesome is pretty much all I can say.

The 2 hours and 30 minutes was very satisfying, and I didn't feel cheated when I walked out of the theater. I wish they hadn't killed off two face so fast.. but he's never been my favorite, either. I only hope they don't bring out The Riddler.. he's the worst. If they do, all I can say is he better die as fast as Two Face did.

But yes, all in all, awesome story line, awesome combat scenes, and great acting (on most parts anyways.. I too was turned off by the fact that Maggie played Rachael.. She's too old).

That wasn't Katie Holmes. That was Maggie Gyllenhaal.

In the first movie the actor who played the chick was Katie Holmes. Now that I think about it... Everything about this movie except for the Joker was rather disappointing.

i really enjoyed the movie, and might actually see it again, because there's a ton of stuff in there to absorb, and other things that are easy to miss.

i will say, though, that the few people that are treating this as the best movie ever because heath ledger died are just fooling themselves.

My guess is in tribute to Ledger. He was born in Perth.

Entire theater laughed when he did that. They also clapped at the end of the movie. Doesn't happen very often for a movie I attend.
