The directory you made your level in has a space (beat down)...try renaming that directory with an underscore (beat_down) or a hyphen (beat-down) and run tool again. After renaming the directory, you may need to go back into 3dsmax and re-route the bitmaps to reflect the directory name change.

What program did you use to record that?
You should make more tutorials like adding fog, weather, etc.

I used camtasia to record...And if there is enough demand for it, I'll make some other tutorials covering the finer points of 3dsmax, Sapien, and Guerilla. It would have to be hosted so I would want halomods.com to say that they would host them if I made more vids.

Yes, that is not a problem at all. We have plenty of bandwidth to host vids on the mainsite.

Ya! That would be awesome having some more tutorials covering the finer points of the programs. Can't wait!

PS- Wasn't answered earlier. How did you change the UI to make it so when you move a box it shows which way you want to move it?

PPS- Looks like great people come from arizona! Grenadiac and kirks4.

If you're talking about the gizmo that shows the three arrows (x,y,z), then you can have that show by hitting 'x' on the keyboard or by going to Customize > Preferences and in the window that pops up click on "gizmos" and turning them on from there.

And you're right..alot of great people come from Az...Except for our football team, basketball team, and now it looks like our baseball team, Arizona is an all around great state.

Please let the world know what you did...
1. If someone else does the same thing then they'll have the answer to fix it

2. You should wear stupidity as a badge of honor...Or maybe not

On a side note...a tutorial should be up by tonight or tomorrow morning going over creation of a tunnel and room beneath the level we created in the first set of tutorials...Be on the lookout for that.
There will also be a set of tutorials on creating custom objects (scenery) in max so that you can place them using Sapien...

You ahve open edges in the level...To see which edges they are go into your max file and select the skybox...go to modifiers drop down list and select STL Check (or something along those lines...not at my computer right now) and under options of that modifier, check the box that says check. It will highlight all of the errors in the geometry. Select "Open Edges" under the options of the modifier and it will show you all open edges. The ones directly around your bases will come up as open edges because they are, but since the verticies of the bases match up with those, halo assumes they are the same vertici (verticy vertesee..?) Anyway, so those don't matter. If they are the only ones that show up, you may need to delete all of the faces surrounding the base and recreate them...Gotta go to work...let me know how it turns out

I just finished making something that I think will help you out. I uploaded it last night and we're just waiting for the halomods.com gods to post it. I would imagine that it would be up sometime this afternoon.
