Uh...you do realize a ton of game previews/trailers have an epic fight, and end when the main character reaches a boss or something, right?Yamagushi wrote:Something that made me really mad. Is the really short amount of time Resident Evil got! They had just gotten to a nice boss. It would have been a great preview... Instead it was nothing special and im sure all the PS3 fanboys will see the better preview during there E3..

Obviously you werent watching.. They wanted to show it but didnt have enought time he was rushing them as they were playing telling them they were wasting too much time and need to hurry...GametagAeonFlux wrote:Uh...you do realize a ton of game previews/trailers have an epic fight, and end when the main character reaches a boss or something, right?Yamagushi wrote:Something that made me really mad. Really? Well, that's cool, then.Tural wrote:They specifically said that if you subscribe to Xbox Live (Gold, that is) you can rent movies at "no additional cost."
My parents were a little hesitant to me buying a 360, but I think this will convince them that it was a good purchase.

Although nothing halo was announced there is a halo wars trailer on the marketplace under E3.
Things I liked:
Gears 2 looks amazing
Guitar Hero world tour
Multi-person chat/ movies
Things i didn't like:
The new gay fucking dashboard
Most of the games didnt really appeal to me
Avatars (I'm surprised there isn't any copyright infringement on that)
Lack of halo related news
There is probably more but thats the main stuff
And whats up with Bungie.net?

Yes, I just saw that. But that latter part almost defeats the purpose...Hawaiian Modder wrote:Read this

You're not playing it off the disk, you're playing it off the HD. The disk in the tray is simply an anti-piracy check. Next to nothing will actually be read off the disk. This will reduce the need for the dvd drive to spin up which will result in smoother performance.
Just watched the "New Xbox Experience (HD)" Thing off XBL, and yeah, that's pretty fugly.. The only thing I liked about it was the XBArcade parts.

yeah but just doesn't seem worth it since I have maybe a gig and a half left on my HDD and halo 3 is i believe 8 gigs or so. even if I did have the space to fit it on my HDD it would take nearly half of my hardrive to have it on there.Tural wrote:Running from the hard drive, as Kirk said, will not need the disc to spin, making the console massively quieter, and it will also save power and performance.
EDIT: I have a 500GB lacie HDD that plugs in through usb. would I be able to use that as the storage device to for halo or any other game??
Highly Highly Doubtful. Main reason being its much easier for piracy if its on a device like that.shortbusheros4 wrote:yeah but just doesn't seem worth it since I have maybe a gig and a half left on my HDD and halo 3 is i believe 8 gigs or so. even if I did have the space to fit it on my HDD it would take nearly half of my hardrive to have it on there.Tural wrote:Running from the hard drive, as Kirk said, will not need the disc to spin, making the console massively quieter, and it will also save power and performance.

Judging by how theyve handled USB storage in the past i can almost 100% say no.
Don't be.

No you cannot, Xbox HDD's actually have an OS in them (which explains the prices) and a normal hard drive would not be able to communicate with the console.shortbusheros4 wrote:yeah but just doesn't seem worth it since I have maybe a gig and a half left on my HDD and halo 3 is i believe 8 gigs or so. even if I did have the space to fit it on my HDD it would take nearly half of my hardrive to have it on there.Tural wrote:Running from the hard drive, as Kirk said, will not need the disc to spin, making the console massively quieter, and it will also save power and performance.

It can be used as a storage device if partitioned correctly, He isnt talking about replacing the HDD. He said through the USB. However the only content the xbox will read from a USB device is Movies, Music, and Images.Ragdoll wrote:No you cannot, Xbox HDD's actually have an OS in them (which explains the prices) and a normal hard drive would not be able to communicate with the console.shortbusheros4 wrote:yeah but just doesn't seem worth it since I have maybe a gig and a half left on my HDD and halo 3 is i believe 8 gigs or so. even if I did have the space to fit it on my HDD it would take nearly half of my hardrive to have it on there.Tural wrote:Running from the hard drive, as Kirk said, will not need the disc to spin, making the console massively quieter, and it will also save power and performance.
