thats not it, i found the problem...well that was part of the problem, but i had to find, on the bitmap of the actual sniper, where the scope part i wanted transparent was, and make it transparent, also added some neat lil things to it...it looks REALLY nice, and im sorry to tell you guys, but i wanna build up excitement for v2 by NOT showing a pic

I did it with a sniper, I made an H2 sniper and posted it here in the downloads section. hold on let me grab the link.

yeah, thats what i did for the transparency, theres a good thing to refer to if i was to describe what it looks like
ok, MP version is a little more than halfway done
what to expect in the MP version:
Sparkedited maps!
a sneak peek at v2's new physics on Blood Gulch(if you turn the turning radius of the hogs back up on BG, your on your own trying to control it)
FRG on battle creek replacing sniper since its such a small map and doesn't seem like there is much need for it
all the weapon and vehicle stat changes in the SP version
a chance to see the Chuck Norris skin
the rocket hog will have it's new stats
a glitch with the flamethrower on derelict
on every map but chiron tl34 cuz that map sux
edit: MP version delayed, gonna have to do some PMIs for the sparkedit maps
update: one of the bigger maps, blood gulch, is done...that took only about 2 or 3 days...here, have a pic...
as you can see, i discreetly pointed out everything new
(circles are the more important ones, one of them is circling something behind a tree, guess what it is [Hint: theres a crashed PELICAN near it, it must be some other crashed aerial vehicle])

im finished with putting the upgraded weaps and vehicles into the MP maps, but im having some trouble with the sparkedit things, i bet some of the stuff i'm aiming for is in HMT, just have to look up some tuts,
but one the sparkedit maps im about 50% done, can't be too long now
don't have an exact date, but some time this week is what i have planned
edit: having trouble on Chillout, gonna skip it and start that level over from scratch after release

they fit fine, but re skinning it isn't a bad idea either....
make the grass a darker green, and make the dirt more dirtish =P

maybe in v2 i'll replace the dirt textures with a real picture of dirt and the grass texture with a pic of real darker grass, but for now, i just wanna try to get the MP version out, in the mean time, would a different color fog help?
2 more maps to go but im having a really wierd problem with PMI's, doing everything exactly as the tutorial said, but at the start of the map rebuild it says im missing an xml document for some kind of tree meta, i look where it says i'm missing a tree, and sure enough, i'm missing a tree, so i extract the tree meta and xml manually and put it where it belongs, try again, and i STILL get the error.
anyhoo, it continues to rebuild the way it should until i get the rebuild successful thing, but when i open it in sparkedit, sparkedit closes due to an error when i try to swap a piece of scenery with one of the things i pmi'ed
any help will get progress moving again and the mod will def be done by this week, if nobody knows whats up then it could be delayed a week or two.
i'll work on my little mini-mod till i get some feedback on the topic, whether it's good or bad, i'll stop the mini mod and continue with the MP version, if i finish it before i get a response, which i probably will, it's gonna be released in this thread since it pretty much just expands on the mod a little bit
PM me if you think you can help and want all the details on the PMI issue, and i'll send you a step by step walkthrough of what i'm doing and what im getting in response

I see a perfect sparkedit thing goin on with the last 2 maps (sidewinder and timberland) but they need PMI's, for example i see spots where a crashed dropship would fit perfectly.

INVINCIBUBBLE! throw a grenade at it to pop it, run in and let it rebubble!

the Wooden space ship on infinity is NOT an easter egg, but it's a good place to look, this one you will have to get lucky to find...or cheat like a butthead and open the map in sparkedit
