I know this is the Sapien forum but could someone help me

3ds max 6 doesn't work it seems to freeze while loading... it is loading stdplugs/metalray.dll and just stops. if i maximize a window it stays in the box displayed it sucks and i don't know what is going on

how long do you wait before closing it(or w/e you do)?
if you don't wait long enough, then you aren't giving it enough time to load

it takes a while to load since its a large program -- it also depends on ur RAM and processor...

well ihave a 2.5 P4 and 512 ram, and i wait for about 5 mins

i have the same problem, i just removed the plugin that it locks up on(mentalray) and put it in a backup directory on my desktop. this makes it work fine. 1 question, do you have max 5 installed too?
