Because there is padding and some programes add it to the file some dont.ManBearPig_06 wrote:Has anyone noticed that recently, instead of being F000 long, the map block is E1D8? It still works fine opening in sandbox, I just find it weird that all my usermaps suddenly are a different length than before.

Then you dident select the padding too. Each file in CONs must be evenly devisable by 4096, if not then you add padding.ManBearPig_06 wrote:What programs? I've been doing this in hex the entire time, and suddenly the map block of the con is shorter.grimdoomer wrote: Because there is padding and some programes add it to the file some dont.

Really? Seems weird that you would need to add padding suddenly instead of it being f000 like normal. Why would that change? I am getting them off my hard drive the exact same way.grimdoomer wrote:Then you dident select the padding too. Edit: Sandbox doesn't recognize ChillOut automatically, so I assume there will be an update to sandbox.

Yup. Shade has to add the MapID to the enum. Or you could do it yourself in the source code he released while you wait for version 1.2 (which should be pretty sweet I would assume).ManBearPig_06 wrote:Edit: Sandbox doesn't recognize ChillOut automatically, so I assume there will be an update to sandbox.

v1.1(1.15)
I've been using 1.0 all the time and it works but it seems that all the other versions that come out that i try dont work. ive tested the same map on v1.0 and v1.1 and it seems that v1.1 doesnt change anything when i click save changes but v1.0 works perfectly. i have windows vista but i dont think that would be the problem and ive tried v1.15 but im sad cause it doesnt change ANYTHING that i edit. Please help.

Yeah, I've noticed that the Edit tab doesnt show up after loading a map.

i found another glitch
if you close a map and open a new one the edit tag on the tool bar will be grayed out.
