only one question now. how do i add flags for ctf. i am only interested in using this map for ctf and team slayer. i never like koth or odball. no race . none of that crap. ok well i doubt i would use photoshop anyway. i think i would just use tattoo. a program that allows you to import a obj 3ds or lwo and then pretty much just paint on it. then i would save the bitmap. open photoshop and save it as a tif. think that would work?

Yeah, I think that could work as long as you can export and convert the file. As far as adding ctf goals, do this:
1. In your hierarchy window in sapien, click on "Game Data"
2. Click on "Netgame flags"
3. Right click where you want to place a netgame flag within the game window
4. In the "properties palette" window, click the drop down box next to "type" and select "ctf - flag"
5. Set the team index to "0"
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the second flag, only this time set the team index to "1"

Sorry I didn't include that in the video, there were just some time constraints I was working with.

Very nice.

Excellent work. The vids are nicely compressed, and I like how you used the double time to fast forward through certain parts. You spoke very professionally, and your voice was pleasant to the ears. You thoroughly described everything in detail. Nice work :)

I've found a good way to make ground textures (grass, mud, dirt, snow) in photoshop is with filters. Say, for grass, make a dark green and fill in the area you want. Then you Add Noise, DeSpeckle, Add Noise, Gaussian blur, that will work for ground textures.

I'd have to say that something is corrupt and to just reinstall HEK...Or maybe there is a compatibility issue somewhere...If thats the case, I haven't got a clue.

It looks like you're not in the right directory for tool. When you set up HEK, you are given an option for the installation directory...lets say for example that the root directory for haloce is
c:\program files\microsoft games\haloce

You would then need to go out to your command prompt and navigate to that folder using the following commands:
cd.. = change directory to a higher directory
cd <dir name> = change to a directory within your current directory
<drive letter>: = change to a different drive

In the example above, if you started out in
c:\documents and settings\drew hall (like your screen shot suggests)
then you would need to type...
cd\
cd program files
cd microsoft games
cd haloce

that would bring you to the root directory of haloce if it was installed as listed above...From there you would type "tool blah blah blah"

Very good. Zeldafreak said everything I was going to say.

One question though. I am very accustomed to Maya and i'm rather fond of the UI where when you move something that it shows which axis you want to move it on. How do you change it from the default to that? Thanks in advanced. GOOD JOB!!!
