How can I get rid of open edges, can I weld them? (3ds max)

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

I am trying to connect 2 meshes by attaching them then creating polgyons between their vertices but I always end up with open edges. How can I get rid of these open edges without messing the mesh up?

Click to select the main mesh. If you haven't already, convert it to an editable mesh (i don't see how you could model w/o doing it, but w/e). Then scroll down a bit and click the "attach" button....then click the second object you want to attach. The two objects should now be one large mesh. Then just weld vertices, and it should work.

Hope that helps. :)
