Fuck, I keep having this one dream, OVER and OVER and OVER again. I have no idea what it means. It's starting to piss me off, cause the dream is like, subliminal. It's weird. Plus, the more the dream repeats, the more real it becomes. It's aimoraimboahjekfajoiewf. =/
AHH!

I hate it when certain mods stamp down on new arrivals to this forum. Or when someone is leaving, they post a topic in the cafe, and the thread gets locked. If someone's first post in the halomods forum is locked, what sort of impression are they going to get? I wish the mods could show a little slack sometimes, especially for newcomers.

If we give new people some slack, then people slightly older are going to want absence from the rules, and so on. The reason things like the Rant and Happiness threads were created was to limit random threads in the Cafe.Philly wrote:I hate it when certain mods stamp down on new arrivals to this forum. The Cafe is for threads that merit discussion that are not necessarily related to Halo and Halo modding. If you make a small comment about something, that will maybe elicit a comment or two from a few people, then it's better off putting it in a major thread. It's not like we don't allow discussion in the Rant/Happiness threads about other posts in them...

i hate it when animators get lazy and start using CG for vehicles and what not.

Has anybody encountered playing halo3 and when playing assualt. Somehow if you are arming it and you get some kind of blast...the bomb get's dropped slightly out of the little station and it begins to arm. Now you see it arming but in reality when it hits zero it just resets and you do not get a point? That's irritating...

It usually happens to me when it lags. I've had it happen quite a few times where we actually armed it and killed the other team, and when it exploded, it reset to early and didn't give us the point.
Also, my friend (XiL Revolution), that also happens to be on my MLG team has been with a friend since the day summer started. This is May 24th. Now, I wanted him to come to my house for 4 days to practice with us on Xbox Live, so that we could get some really good practice in. Now, he's saying it's stupid that he can't bring his friend to my house.
I would tell him that we're going to find another 4th, because he's not dedicated to the team, but his grandmother already paid for the Team Pass. >_>

3 of my friends were arrested on Thursday.
They were driving around(The driver only could have 1 friend in the car, there was 2) and the officer thought that he was under-age so pulled him over. For no reason he decided to pull a search and lets just say he found some illegal things.
My rant is (More of a question): Can the cop do that. Can searches be conducted for no reason?
Btw, It's not like my friend was doing anything obvious to get pulled over, or it's not like the car smelt like anything illegal because they were obeying driving laws and also were straight at that point in time.

Did he ask to search the vehicle and they complied, or did he initiate it on his own? If the latter, then, as Veegie said, he probably had some reason to believe that the search would yield results. He could have seen something in the car and conducted a search on that, any type of bottle, cigarette, or drug paraphernalia would be probable cause, for instance (As would suspicious behavior, like someone shifting around, touching things, or otherwise acting unreasonably nervous). In general, an illegal search is when someone's right to privacy is violated. In a car, you don't really have what is referred to as "a reasonable expectation of privacy," as anyone could walk by and look in the car (Save glove box, trunk, etc). Also, to be honest, if the cop really wanted in the car, he could call a canine unit which would detect the aforementioned drugs, in all likelihood, and that would be probable cause to search. All that said, I'm 99% certain they consented to the search when the officer prompted them, as not many people seem to want to challenge a police officer's directions. All in all, there's very, very little that can prevent a vehicle search, because probable cause is easy to obtain. Don't keep drugs or drug paraphernalia in a car.Hawaiian Modder wrote:My rant is (More of a question): Can the cop do that. Can searches be conducted for no reason?

I'm in the center of a thunderstorm. The thunder is very loud, Lightning is way too close to my house. I got a new bump [ideas].
