Just get the values of the floats for yaw, pitch, and roll in the placement block of an object with the desired rotation, then copy and paste onto the placement blocks of the objects that you want changed. Very simple.

So basically find the rotation of a real tree on valhalla and then edit that over all the rotations of the modded trees in the usermap? If so it seems simple enough

Yup just look in riverworld.map in the scnr tag for the rotations of a tree and use them in the usermap.

Oh, I guess so. I was thinking more like another object in the usermap -- like a mongoose or something that has the rotation you want. But I guess either way works.

Could you not just do 0 for the pitch? Then it will be pointing straight up and then you could play around with the yaw and roll.

I tried that once and it did not work as planned. Maybe shade could explain.

Because not all objects have the point of origin pointing where you would expect.

We found if you want to make an object stand straight up the rotation values from a mongoose tend to do the trick. It obviously wont work for every item but if you using it for tree's they will be nice and straight.

Is there evver going to be a program to mod halo 3 like in halo 2...(Dot Halo)<-----I think that's the best.

There already are modding programs. :roll:
You are asking people to predict the future. :roll:
We are waiting on Xbox modding people before any public map modding can be done.
If you consider Dothalo to be the best, you have very low standards.

i liked dot halo's gui better than entity's but entity was better by far /offtopic

why is it a bad thing for forge mods to be released

Negative publicity and continuing rise in people asking how they can make them, which, if not controlled, will lead to a resigner being released, which will lead to all sorts of Live issues. In addition, Bungie has specifically asked members of the community to please not publish such mods. We're honoring that wish here.

heh, sounds like what is happening at sdlghasdjk over there. That place has just become crazy with people wanting to mod.

I havent been on this site in like 2 mounths, i thought if people who knew how to write a program would know if that cuold exsist.
