Swim practice. 60 minutes of swimming laps, usually with some kind of variation like only the kick or only the pull or some stupid drill like fingertip drag freestyle, which I see no point in since you're supposed to do exactly the opposite in a real meet. Oh yeah, and the meets suck too. Too damn long.
And the other thing. I'm down with the sickness. There's some kind of fluid stuck in my ear, probably pool water, and I can't get it out, so I'm constantly with that feeling of water in your ears and my hearing in my left ear is all weird. But that's not bad compared to this terrible chest cough that I have. But that's not even the end of it. I have an extremely stuffed up nose and it's not fun wiping it in front of all the hawt girls at school... oh yeah, and speaking of that, for some reason I'm having a breakout of zits and there's like two monsters on my right cheek and that's not cool, man. My stupid proactiv is failing to fix it. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or something. It's probably because I'm not using it in the mornings, or maybe because I have long greasy hair that swabs my face with bacteria... idk. But it's annoying as hell. I can't wait till all this shit passes and my life goes back to normal. I can barely even talk right and when I do it's hard hearing the responses of people with this ear.

Wash your face with soap and water more, then. It'll help.0m3g4Muff1n987 wrote:oh yeah, and speaking of that, for some reason I'm having a breakout of zits and there's like two monsters on my right cheek and that's not cool, man. It's not that, I wash it every day but my mom says part of the zit problem is my long hair because it gets bacteria on my face or something. I think she's lying because we just have a plain bad family history of zits (especially my dad, his was horrible, they put him on some kind of extreme medication that got rid of them but made him behave weird or something like that) and the gene just kicked in at puberty. I guess I could start washing my face more in the showa though.

I hear ya. The meets suck. Your standing around for like 6 hours to swim for like 7 or 8 mins. I hate the drills also. Most of them! Fingertip drag isnt that bad. The kicking-only sucks though.0m3g4Muff1n987 wrote:Swim practice. 60 minutes of swimming laps, usually with some kind of variation like only the kick or only the pull or some stupid drill like fingertip drag freestyle, which I see no point in since you're supposed to do exactly the opposite in a real meet. Oh yeah, that sucks about your ears. Maybe swimmers ear? I had that before, and it sucked.

Yeah, the drills aren't all that hard, just freaking pointless. Aw, yeah, practicing dragging your fingers in the water will definitely help when you're swimming in a meet. Shouldn't we be practicing not dragging our fingers if anything? And just everything else is kind of stupid. But it gets me in shape and my time trials are in 2 days. It's still annoying though.

It promotes proper form, which includes high elbows.M715ForLife wrote:I think that the dragging finger thing is suppost to help with the recovery? Indeed, my friend called me the other day to ask who made it. When I prompted him as to why he would ask, he said because it's hanging up, as a poster, in Gamestop's window in the mall. Nobody ever credits the creator, as that image is so widely circulated now. Well, at least some of us know. =/Jordan wrote:also.. isn't this Veegie's render that I just saw on my Facebook page?

Yea, I see that image a lot. I guess Veegie is unknowingly famous.Tural wrote:Indeed, my friend called me the other day to ask who made it. I think I remember something about having to keep problem areas not only oil-free but moisturized, or they make more oil to compensate...
