I am not close minded this is my opinion. I haven't said that I still think he wasn't the person from the news story. I don't see how a shell splits in half in mid flight though.stop being so closed minded

If you say so.it did happen,

Those are some harsh words...and it would be great if you just left. No one at all would miss you.

I don't want to fight. I just want to fit in and have a good time chatting and modding. A guy has the right to an opinion right? (yes)

Why would a military artillery shell explode?Kirk wrote:mb caus it blew up.MindFights wrote:

That makes no sense.
What would that do?

Why would an artillery NOT explode? Surely you must know that most modern day ordnance explodes on contact especially artillery shells. You just cannot pick a target the size of a man and hit it with an artillery shell about 4 inches or so diameter (I pulled that figure out my ass btw). modern science cannot pinpoint where a shell will hit, ever. There are tons of factors which affect their trajectory, wind speed and direction, angle of launch, power of explosive I could fill a book! Ever heard of the term: shellshock? Soldiers in WW2 and such were mentally shall I say... messed up by the horror of artillery shells landing around them. think of that, instant, unpredictable death or maiming. The only shell I can think of that would not explode might be from a caribbean ship cannon or a civil war mortar cannon shell(I should know I own one of those civil war shells).

As for exploding in mid air I don't know, maybe it mis fired or something.
Come to think of it bombs have been known to fail to detonate when a dive bombing launched them. I imagine the high speed and force must have busted the fuse before it could detonate.
You hawwaian modder were very lucky me thinks.
