Where did you get your SLR?

Post by metkillerjoe »

I'm shopping around for the best deal I can get on a used Konica/Minolta MAXXUM 5D SLR (Body only) camera, and I've searched eBay, Newegg, but I know a few people that have bought cameras and they all have a favorite site where all of the deals are supposedly.

Do you have any of these. I'm just a beginner, so I'm not really well versed on where to find these things (and Google loves giving me review sites).

Thanks in advance.

I went down to Inkleys, a photo store. I'd much rather have someone I can talk to face to face about a camera, maybe test it out a bit.

If I remember correctly you are from MA. So if Norwood isn't a hassle to get to check out The Camera Company of Norwood.

I'm going to be buying from there later on this year. They have a great selection and the people who work there have very good knowledge. They aren't the type of sales people who rip you off.

For me there is not choice. I have to get a Maxxum 5D because its the cheapest SLR that will accept my film SLR's lenses, which is why most of these sites don't work (Maxxum 5D is out of production they sell them used).
