Yes. And to get hot air cooled, then re-circulate it through the computer to cool it down. My G5 gets up to 130 Degrees Farenhight within 20 minutes of starting up, so I need this.Kirk wrote:So the purpose of this is to reduce dust buildup inside the computer?

Overclock much? Why not just spend the extra money to get an 80mm fan? They have 6,000RPM fans that could ventilate the amount of air that setup will.MarsMartianMan wrote:My G5 gets up to 130 Degrees Farenhight within 20 minutes of starting up, so I need this.

We are on macs, if that helps.Patrickssj6 wrote:lmao some of you people have no idea what you are talking about.
120° Fahrenheit is completely normal...150° gets critical though. This depends on the size of the processor though. For some old ones 150° is not a problem at all but 120° is more than fine.

CPU temperature is a general rule that works on all processors. 120 degrees Fahrenheit is good.bcnipod wrote:We are on macs, if that helps.
The fact that you are on a Mac is irrelevant. Fan connections are standard (should be on Mac motherboards as well, I haven't looked at my eMac's, nor at a PowerMac's) 3-pin connections or 4-pin Molex connectors. I don't ever recall there being such a thing as a Mac-specific fan.MarsMartianMan wrote:Casefans = PC Hardware yes?
I need Mac Hardware:

And even so, I'm sure you could find a USB -> Molex splitter.
