I think you guys should release the Forge Engineer. The flooding of topics I think could be taken care of. Someone makes a simple tutorial and then whenever someone sees the topic they post a link in the topic directing them to the tutorial.

So tell me, what makes you think releasing it would help at all, if you and others can't even read the damn posts that exist now? We're shoving the answers in your face, and you keep posting anyways. Tural, i feel so bad for you right now...there are SO many people not reading the threads the staff has made regarding modding and all of that... its ridiculous!

I personally do not think there is any purpose for shade(or anyone) releasing Engineer (or any modding tools) at all because whatever we do with it, we can't resign it. So whats the point of having it available to the public in the first place?

Amongst other things, the tools are mainly for research at the moment, and once halo 3 modding actually becomes possible, it's nice to have a well-built set of tools already rather than just starting to develop them at the time.

As a thought maybe have it set so you can't post in these modding oriented topics until a certain number of posts are made or something along those lines to reduce the flooding and spam. (its getting mildly ridiculous)

It'll be a sad day when one of these *** does somehow obtain knowledge to ruin halo 3 matchmaking as they did with halo 2 but until then... very nice looking app, though i know little about xbox modding and therefore won't be dling or asking "H0w c4/\/ 1 l33 4 1337 H4xz0r".

Don't hold your breath. It's a lot more complicated this time around, and it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for people to abuse modding like that.

As for the post requirement, I wish. I don't think I_F would go for that though.

I figured it would be a while but still some of these people have some free time on there hands, and thats too bad about post req. I know forums like Halo2forums had that for accessing their modding section it was like 100 posts.

Dedication doesn't make the impossible possible. With how modding will have to be done, as it stands right now, it would be impossible to mod on Live when it becomes ready/public.

Sounds good, was merely pointing out the fruitless efforts of people who if they just spent time playing the game instead of spamming topics, wouldn't have to cheat.
