Advanced Graphics

Post by ryan_mckenzie »

Edit// Forget about this thread, answer here http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=76542

Hey all,

I'm planning to create a pretty big project (not by myself of course lol). The main feature of it will be to take halo to a new graphical level. This means that I plan to Create new maps, and recreate models with a higher level of polygonal faces, high-res textures, advanced shaders, lighting and particle effects.

I'm wondering if any of this is possible for halo CE to run. I realize that the person playing the new map will need better graphical support, but in the end, it's pretty pointless if something will go horribly wrong and CE will reject it.

So, any expected problems??

Thanks

If you look, most of the shaders already have all the slots filled in.

Well, looks like I should be getting in touch with this guy in front of me lol. Thanks for the heads up so far. Shaders was a part of the new mod which was really on the major side of the whole graphical update. So hopefully, there's a loooong way around this, maybe somewhat involving the engines source code.
