I dont think NAT affects lag. NAT affects who you can play against. So you will find matchmaking slower when its not open due to NAT incompatabilities.

As for it opening and closing...Mine seems to do that...bastard.

Yeah, I noticed ;p Damn.
I figured out why it opens and closes, though (for me at least). My Xbox's IP changes every time I turn it on, so the settings to open the NAT to the Xbox are invalid. Either manually change the Xbox's IP, or just reset your settings accordingly to your Xbox's new IP.

What's irritating is I have a wireless repeater right in the next room to boost my internet's connection, yet, I have such a shitty connection on my Xbox. I don't understand what's going on. I guess I'm not logging on to it or something.

possibly because it has to go through 2 points to get to the xbox, plus everyone else using the router at the same time. Don't forget interferance aswell.

But thats a good though there, my 360 is dynamic IP so I'll look into making it static for NAT or try other methods.

I still use the old xbox-wireless modem on my 360 and connect to my router. I get perfect connection.

FUCK! How long does it take to rebuild a map for you guys? Mine has been rebuilding for 2+ hours.

I recall him talking about using H2Core to rebuild a map in another topic.
Senor_Grunt, depending on your computer, it could take from 5 minutes to... well.. a really long time.

IBM, Don't have the specs for it. But when I got it, Windows 98 was on it.

Weird, mine did that last week. I had just backed up my bookmarks a few days before, so I had them all, but all of my add on settings and Firefox settings all reset, as if it had lost my user profile.
