Despite how hyped and gay it is, American Idol actually does a lot of good for some people. Helps get people who have talent use their talent, which I appreciate. Granted that I hate the show, and most of the vocalists on it go off to sing really shitty music, but I still appreciate some of their ability. I just wish the show wasn't so hyped. It's embarrassing to watch, so I don't.

Speaking of router crap, Halo 3 tells me every time I go on MM that my NAT is not open.. Although on my router it's "Enabled".
Now I don't know a whole lot about networking, but I don't know what's up. I haven't noticed any real slowdown in MM since before that started showing up (I had reset my router and set my network up slightly different than before and then that started showing up) so I don't know if I should just ignore the message or actually see if there's a setting that actually says "Open" or "Closed" (and boy, i've looked) but as far as I can tell, Enabled means Open, seeing nothing else.
EDIT: Yeah I'm not intelligent. Obviously enabled is different than open, but I just can't find anything in my router settings to change the restrictions for it. (360 says NAT is moderate)

That is exactly the kind of mindset that causes bullshit with elections. Do you know what our voter turnout in 2004 was? It was about 60%. That is a disgrace. Democracy breaks down if such a large group of people fail to vote. Voting should be more than a privilege of democracy, it should be a duty. Do you know what the United States ranks in voter turnout over time? 139th. Disgusting. The citizens have a huge say in the election in the most powerful nation in the world, and they don't even give enough of a shit to go vote. News flash: The electoral college isn't going anywhere. Get used to it. If you're going to refuse to vote because of that, you are only compounding the problem of the electoral process. You are causing more problems than you are solving with your stubbornness. I hope being a detriment to the democratic process is a worthwhile result of such actions.turk645 wrote:ive refused to get registered to vote till my vote actually matters..... As it is on mine, but having to navigate to my router to port forward to have something work is just a further inconvenience.MoDFox wrote:Port Forwarding is easy on my router, I'm lucky.
Ah yes, it is still fairly simple on here, the only real annoyance is typing in the router ip to access it.Tural wrote:As it is on mine, but having to navigate to my router to port forward to have something work is just a further inconvenience.MoDFox wrote:Port Forwarding is easy on my router, I'm lucky.

you ever think the voting count is lower then it should be because thier vote doesnt technicly matter? A canidate can win the poular vote but loose the presidental election because of the EC. Its stuff like that doesnt motivate people to vote.

Did you ever consider that if those 120 million people voted, maybe we'd have a more accurate process?
The votes do fucking matter, and by asserting that they don't, you are contributing to the shittiness of elections, which you are then complaining about. Your one vote doesn't matter, you're right, but you are representative of the 120 million people who choose not to vote. I can guarantee nearly half, or more, of those people have that same ridiculous mindset. You're being far too narrow minded if you're going to claim your vote does not matter. Nearly half of the damn country doesn't vote, do you understand that? You are the reason there are problems. The electoral college is the absolute least of the concerns when 120 million people are being so stubborn and/or ignorant.

And Europe is the shining bastion of a stable economy, right. Have you even been following Great Britain's economy lately? Import price inflation increased from 0.8% to 4.9% in just three months. They have a poor growth outlook due to their faltering private investment and consumer demands, GDP is steadily decreasing because of those, and there's evidence to support that inflation's going to take off to even more than it already has. The only thing they can do to save their asses is cut interest rates, and even that's just a shot in the dark, there's no telling how drastic of a cut they'd have to make to keep the economy stable, or even how long said cut would keep inflation below the projected levels.iGeo wrote:Seems like your country's going to **** though, your economy is getting worse by the week. Or so it would seem.
In conclusion, the whole world's economy is "going to shit", not just the US, so shut up and do some research before you jump on the "America sucks" bandwagon.

the fact that tural feels the need to group everyone in a way that makes sence to him, that pisses me off. I can assure you im not narrow minded, and just jumping to the conclusion about someone without really knowing them just makes you look bad.
