NEED HELP WITH CHIMP!!!!

When i try to export my (with gmax chimp) map i get this exception "-- unknown property: "name" in undefined" what does that mean? All help will be put in credits :P

I've had that too. I solved it by messing around with my materials, though I never really knew what caused the problem exactly and which part of my messing around fixed it...

I found something that might be the problem. I found out that when I select the sky i find lots of invisible faces that are inside one of my bases and under it. There is no way i can select them and i cant delete them either cause that would delete the whole sky... maby i have to start all over again :(

It finally exported, thanks alot, you will be in credits. I'm just working on a map for my clan :D But i think i have about 30 errors and 14 degenerated triangles in my map now lol, but i can fix them in about 1 year :P

I'm not sure if gmax can import .wrl files, but if so then that would let you track down your errors very fast. Simply import the yourmapname.wrl file that got created in your halo ce custom edition directory, uncheck all the boxes that appear on the import wizard and voila! Happy correcting!

I know, but i don't know what all of the errors are yet. Like what is degenerated triangles? how to fix them?

I'm not 100 percent sure but this is what I thought a degenerate triangle was: it's simply a triangle that got reduced to a line, in other words one of it's corners got attached to the edge connecting the other two corners.

If only I could draw it here...

How to fix em: simply go to an error, delete the faces around it etc...and redo them by creating new polies.

I tried that the first time, but when i made new ones i got even more degenerated triangles. I had 20 and what i did was to move the vertex so it only faced a large triangle and by doing that i managed to get rid of 1 degenerated trianlge but i really need to know what to do next here are the errors

I did some research and found out that you were right. I found a line between 2 faces wich made it look like an error, so i deleted these lines and faces around them and it will hopefully work thx

Ok, open edges are holes hole, they wont compile because it can't make a proper collision with holes. Degenerated triangles means your triangles are screwed up. Delete those and remake polys that are TRIANGLES.

DO they have to be triangles, why can't they be squares? most of my faces are squares :?:
